Last updated: October 12, 2026
If there is immediate danger
If you or someone else is in immediate physical danger, has a life-threatening medical emergency, or needs immediate intervention, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
For emotional or behavioral health crisis support
In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or use the online chat at 988lifeline.org. The Lifeline provides 24/7 support for suicidal, mental health, emotional distress, and substance-use-related crises.
